(More customer reviews)After experiencing catastrophic stator-rectifier failure on a long motorcycle ride, I installed a Kuryakyn battery gauge. The gauge displays a series of LED lights with red on the left, then orange to the middle and green from center to right. As long as you have green lights flickering, you know the charging system is working. In the event of system failure, you get red/orange warning lights, and instead of a dead battery and motorcycle beside the road, you have some time to remove headlight fuse and shut off any other non-essiential electrical accessories, and hopefully have enough battery left to get home or to help.Pros: This thing is tiny, so you can mount it about anywhere, bright easy to see day or night. You can order it in chrome or black finish. Connect to any source that is normally on when riding, like tail light circuit. Negatives: In my opinion, the red light on the left is almost distractingly bright (of course you can tape over it).
