(More customer reviews)I purchased this solid state regulator to control regulated battery voltage to an ignition coil and solid stated ignion system on a 12 volt G M direct current generator.It is not such a device.It is actually a three way solid state regulator for a Ford product that is wired in a different way.I can not use this product on my G.M generator and it was not labeled or advertised correctly as for Fords only. I already have a three way regulator but need one that controls voltage down to no more than 12 volts. The photograph does not show the four terminals and I assumed that it was a 12 volt regulator with one terminal in and one terminal out.
What I thought I was purchasing was an inline voltage regulator passing uncontrolled battery voltage in and emitting only 12 volts output and no more than 12 volts. I am not rating this product because I can not use it and have not hooked it up because it will not work on my generator.I needed it quickly and paid more for shipping than it cost to purchase. It is collecting dust on my shelf because it is useless.
