(More customer reviews)It works as described, I've heard stories of failure after water exposure, but not experienced that myself.For me, installation before electrical issues is important, so you know what "normal" is for your bike ahead of time, and can detect electrical problems early.A similar unit saved me on a week long trip, detecting my stator failure in time to find a replacement before the battery was dead.I'd have been stuck on the Blue Ridge Parkway at about dark with a dead battery and failed stator had I not had a similar device on my bike at the time.This unit is far more elegant than the unit I was using at the time, it's easy to glance at and read the status of your battery/charging system.
