(More customer reviews)The good news:it works.My wife & daughter are in the habit of leaving minivan doors open and interior lights on, and thus draining the battery.After half a dozen early-morning jumpstarts I decided to try this, and it works as advertised.
The bad news:installing was kind of a pain in the butt.I managed to install it with the included parts but I should have just gone to the parts store for a longer ground cable.
The parts included various jumpers & extensions that had lots of bare metal. I used these on the positive battery connection, and didn't feel comfortable leaving them uninsulated.I used "liquid electrical tape" that i bought at my local hardware store; it's much like plasti-dip that i've seen used for tool handles.maybe even the same stuff.
Worse, when the battery finally died last winter, one of the metal brackets cracked while I was tightening it, so i wasn't able to reinstall it without a trip to the store, which i haven't gotten around to yet...really should have just bought that longer cable in the first place.
